The Village Journal: Content management Website

The client wanted to take their popular monthly newspaper online. Their existing site had fallen out of currency due to the high level of maintenance required and limited resources of the non-profit organisation.

Websmiths, suggested the use of a PHP and MySQL driven content management site which would dynamically build it's navigation system based on the entries in the MySQL database. View Village Journal website here.

A database scheme was devised and an administration site built. The database was then partially populated and the site proper was developed. From this point most of the administration became a task of editing and uploading very simple html files using the administration site and the PHP and MySQL does the rest!
